Being away from home during the holidays can make any one a little upset. Not getting to see all the holiday decorations right when December hits makes every college student upset. Luckily for you, Her Campus Oregon State has come up with a few dorm decorations that will easily make your dorm look very holiday chic!
Little Christmas trees
If seeing a little Christmas tree doesn’t brighten up your Monday morning, I don’t know what will. Setting up a small Christmas tree in your dorm is the best way to get your room ready for the holidays. If you want to be a little crazy try out a colorful tree like white or pink.
Holiday Reed Diffusers
Everyone living in dorms understands the struggle of not being able to buy those amazing holiday scented candles because the RA’s will literally sniff them out and take them. A good replacement for that is getting a few different holiday scented Reed Diffusers. The smell of Christmas cookies will make anyone excited for the holidays!
Door wrapping paper
The best way to let everyone in your dorm know that you are completely and understandably ready for break to start is to decorate your door with cute wrapping paper. Find wrapping paper with snowmen, Rudolph, or just an awesome pattern and then tape it up on the outside of your door!
Christmas lights
For those who don’t want their room to be too green and red, try getting a few boxes of white lights. Depending on how you want to use them get two or three boxes. You can line them around your room, put them in your window or even dangle them from your door!
Snowflake window stickers
Even if the snow isn’t on the ground yet, looking out your window and seeing snowflakes is a great feeling. Plus you don’t have to plow through the snow to get to class, which is always great. Little snowflakes on your window are the perfect final touch on your now holiday chic dorm room!
