5 LGBTQ+ TV Couples We’d Like to See Get Married IRL

As of June 26th, 2015, The Supreme Court of the United States made a historic ruling that made same-sex marriage a right nationwide. Therefore, the remaining states that had not passed same-sex marriage must now issue marriage licenses and recognize the rights of those who were married in other states. There are a few couples I’ve always dreamed would marry from some of my favorite TV shows, and maybe you’ll agree.

1. Emily and Paige from Pretty Little Liars

After five seasons of their on-and-off again relationship Paige and her family moved to California, effectively ending this relationship. However, that doesn’t mean we’ve given up on these two lovebirds just yet. Some loved Maya and Emily and some think Allison and Emily are the perfect pair, but Paily is still always a fan favorite. Who’s to say these two won’t reconnect at a high school reunion after the time jump soon to occur in season 6? Stranger things have happened in Rosewood.

2. Amy and Karma from Faking It

So we’re not really sure if Amy and Karma will actually ever get together and be a real couple, but it could happen. We love these two as friends on the show, and though they’ve gone through some rough patches so we think they have more to do in exploring their romantic feelings for each other in the upcoming season. We can already see them dancing to Paula Abdul’s “Straight Up” at their wedding someday.

3. Heath and Calvin from Greek

Star-crossed lovers Heath and Calvin are in rival fraternities and date on-and-off throughout the four seasons of Greek. We loved seeing them become more open about their relationship over time and grow as individuals. They finally get back together in the fourth and final season, and we’d love it if these two tied the knot in the future.

4. Piper and Alex from Orange is the New Black

We love them, we hate them — how we feel about this couple is all over the place, but somehow they always come back to each other. They’ve been on again, off again, dating and married to other people, but somehow they both just realize that no matter how much they infuriate each other they’re better together. I’m not sure how their relationship will fare after jail, but for now they’ve got each other’s backs. These two are tough and reckless, but we’ve seen them share some very sweet and tender moments, too, so maybe a walk down the aisle could be in their cards.

5. Theo and Cole from Awkward

Mostly this couple just creates drama for everybody else around, them but at least they have a common interest of disaster that bonds them together. These two always have a sarcastic remark to say and keep everyone else on their toes, so who’s to say a wedding to draw attention to themselves isn’t in the future. As they and the other seniors move into college and beyond anything could happen.

Comment below any couples you’d add to this list!
