5 Places to Visit This Summer In New York

As the spring semester is coming to an end, people are beginning to think about places to visit over the summer. Whether it be a day trip or a weeklong vacation, there are a lot of places right here in New York to go visit. Here are five ideas for interesting spots to visit all around the state.

Table Rock

If you are looking for a place to go hiking, Table Rock in Oneonta is a beautiful spot. Located off Chestnut Street, Table Rock offers amazing view of the city of Oneonta. People can stand or sit on a flat rock ledge and look out onto the city. The hike up to the ledge that requires walking up a few hills is worth it because the view is spectacular, especially at sunrise or sunset.

The National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum

Located in Cooperstown, the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum is the perfect place for baseball fans. The Museum offers interesting exhibits filled with artifacts all designed to educate people of baseball’s history or to test baseball fan’s knowledge of the game prior to the visit. Animal Adventure Park

Home of the famous April the giraffe and her calf, the Animal Adventure Park located in Harpursville, is the perfect spot for a day trip to the zoo. Opening on May 13th, the park will be open 7 days a week. There is a large variety of animals to be seen and there are even chances to interact with the animals who live at the park. Meow Parlour

If you are going to New York City and are looking to try something new, check out the Meow Parlour. Located on Hester Street, the Meow Parlour is a cat café in which guests can purchase hot drinks and pastries that are cat themed. Jones Beach State Park

If you are looking for a relaxing day on the beach, Jones Beach State Park located in Wantagh is one of New York’s most popular beach spots.
