The 5 Best Places to Eat in Oneonta

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Oneonta chapter.

Oneonta is not only an amazing place to spend your four years pursuing an undergraduate degree, but it has a great downtown life! My friends and I don’t regret being major foodies, so we eat out a lot! While there are numerous locations for good eats, I narrowed it down (it was hard, trust me) to 5 of my favorites.

1. Nina’s

If you haven’t been to Nina’s or ordered out from there, you’re truly missing out! I got my friends to try this amazing little Italian restaurant…. now they’re hooked! Besides the amazing taste, you get a TON of food with your order. Now let’s talk about the bread… it’s to die for.

2. The Depot

I love, love, LOVE The Depot. Their wing night is like a national holiday in my eyes. Their pizza comes in reverse; it is equally interesting and delicious. I took my parents here and they literally can’t stop talking about it.

3. Yellow Deli

You all knew this one was coming. This restaurant is an Oneonta favorite. Their sandwiches make my gloomy days sunny ones. They have natural sodas which are way more delicious than they sound, and they even sell soap. Plus, the cream cheese pie on their menu is A1.

4. Tino’s

Does this even need a description? Three words: Cold. Cheese. Pizza.

5. Toscana

Toscana is my all-time favorite restaurant. This restaurant is classy, delicious and makes my tummy oh so happy. My boyfriend and I go here for our anniversary (and like all the time). Try the eggplant parm, and thank me later.

Honorable mentions:

6. Tiger Asian Cuisine

7. Hots (every Friday night kids)

8. Friendly’s (ICE CREAM)

9. Latte Lounge (those mini truffles and their pancakes my goodness)

10. Undercover Eggplant

Bon appetite!
