3 Things to Do This Halloween If You Don’t Want to Leave Your House

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Oneonta chapter.

Halloween is one of the best times of the year, pumpkins, dark colors, spooky decorations, and let’s not forget about the candy!! Getting all dressed up in a costume can be fun, but if that’s not your vibe here are a few suggestions to stay festive within the comfort of your own home!

Spooky movie marathon!

Whether you’re a fan of scary movies or not, there is no denying that Halloween will put you in the mood to curl up and watch a spooky movie. So, grab your fluffiest blanket, favorite snacks (you know those Halloween sugar cookies) a couple of friends and binge watch some classic Halloween movies. Love scary movies? All three Scream movies can be found on Netflix! Not a fan of the scare? Throw on a classic like Hocus Pocus or Nightmare Before Christmas! Don’t forget the candy!!

Cook a fancy meal!

If you’re anything like me, you save a bunch of fancy dinner recipes on Pinterest or see that cool recipe idea on Facebook and think to yourself “I’ll have to give that a try one day”. Well make today that day! Gather all your ingredients on your way home, change into your comfiest clothes and get cooking! This is a fun adventurous way to spend your night and you’ll get a great meal out of it! Bonus points if you have a Halloween movie on in the background!

Have a game night with your friends!

If you and your friends have decided going out for Halloween is just not your idea of fun, don’t stress! Grab a couple of board games or cards, order some pizza and let the fun begin. There is never a bad time to have a crazy competitive night of games with your friends! If you guys are feeling up to it, get dressed up in a Halloween costume to make the night a little more interesting!
