Most of us struggle with acne and finding products that actually help without making our faces drier than the Sahara desert. Here are a few tips:

Moisturize your face every day, I mean it. Use a face moisturizer daily or more than daily. I love love love cocoa butter lotion on my face and it actually helps keep my eczema in line!

Wash your face! Make sure you wash your face but don’t just use your fingers. At least once a week you need to exfoliate, which you can honestly do with a washcloth and some face cleanser if you don’t have exfoliator.

Try to use natural products. I have found out that, mostly because of my eczema, it’s not good on my skin to use a lot of name brands. I tend to go a more natural way when washing my face. First, lemon and honey is such a good regular face wash, just make sure you really scrub it off cause that honey is sticky! As far as exfoliants go, coconut oil and sugar are great on your skin and your lips! It’s gentle enough that you shouldn’t break out or rub your skin raw! Anything mixed with avocado is great for your skin!

Take off your makeup at night! The best thing for your skin is to let it breathe. Don’t sleep with makeup on and make sure to give your face some breather days. I love micellar water for makeup removal! It is a godsend!

One last thing. MOISTURIZE. Make sure you put lotion on after any cleansing ritual you put your skin through, dry skin is not good for makeup and it definitely doesn’t feel good to touch.
