Whether it’s for Thanksgiving of Friendsgiving, these non-traditional “wreaths” will be the perfect accent for your door or the cutest gift for your host! They are so easy to make and all they require is a big bouquet of artificial flowers, some baskets, lots of burlap, fun accents, and about 15 tons of hot glue (at least for me). You’ll need a wreath hanger for the door but everything else I found at Michael’s!

Basket of Fall

For this one, I simply lined the inside rim of the basket with hot glue and shoved a small bunch of flowers inside! I found these adorable chalkboard signs at Michael’s- they’re perfect to write whatever greeting you want! I hot glued that inside as well and then tied the top of the basket with some pretty lace burlap I found.

Just Gourd-geous!

Similiar to the first, I lined the rim with hotglue again, just to make sure everything stays put. Fill up whatever cute, small basket you have with artificial flowers and leaves and the LIGHTEST gourds you can- they’ll still requires lots of glue though!

Canned Yam Bouquet

For this, follow the same idea as listed about but use a recycled aluminum can as the vase. I actually used one that had canned pumpkin in it, because ’tis the season, of course! Tie some pretty ribbon or more burlap around it and you’re done!

Hay Girl!

Is this not the cutest damn door piece you’ve ever seen? My mom saw it and immediately insisted it went right on our front door. Take a straw hat, fold the brim down, glue some fake hay (apparently they call it “raffia” in the arts and crafts world), give it a trim if necessary, and then accessorize as desired. Create a lil face for your girl- I used a pecan for the nose! Rig together a little bow (hot glue needed again) and she’s ready to go!

Try these as centerpieces for your feasts as well! Happy fall and happy crafting, collegiettes! Send us pictures of your beautiful recreations.
