The Trump administration will now allow American hunters to import elephant trophies they killed in Zimbabwe and Zambia to the United States. This move reverses the ban set in place by the Obama administration in 2014, which prohibited importing elephant trophies into the United States.

Meanwhile, the elephant population globally has fallen from 10 million elephants to just 400,000 today, largely due to poaching/hunting. Elephants are endangered, and quickly going extinct. I think as humans with morality, we should all think about this move and what it means. Not to mention elephants are one of the smartest creatures on earth; not only do they have feelings, they have shown us time and time again how smart they really are.
