Nobody wants to deal with a break up, and we are no exception. These uncertain times are challenging and seem hopeless, but it’s important to stay hopeful. Here is some encouragement and a few tips for you to deal with your breakup and embrace your inner girl boss!

Take time for yourself

In today’s society, we are constantly attached to our phones, computers, and televisions. These things might provide distractions for you after your breakup, but they will ultimately become unhealthy for you. Put your phone and laptop away; turn off your TV; and do something to make you happy. Yoga, reading, meditation, drawing, and an array of other things are ways to relax your brain and give you a creative space.

Have a self care night

This is one of our favorites. A great way to cheer yourself up is to take care of yourself and set aside time to connect with your inner beauty queen! Grab a face mask, some nail polish, shave those legs, and watch a fun movie to lift your spirits. Pampering yourself will put you in a brighter headspace and make you feel much better!

A weekend getaway

Grab your girlfriends and head to a different city or even a local hotel to be in a new space that won’t remind you of your ex. Take a camera and shoot some fun pics in your weekend space. Make that boy see what he’s missing! Some of our favorite places here in Oklahoma would be…

     – Getting a hotel room in Oklahoma City

     – Visiting the multiple waterfalls in Oklahoma

     – Catching a Thunder basketball game

Grab drinks with your friends!

One of the best ways to get over a guy is to hang out with the people that make you feel your best. Your friends will encourage you to be happy and get over that boy who broke your heart. Getting drinks with your friends is a great way to not spend a ton of money, but still have some fun and get dressed up!

We hope that at least one of these tips will help you cope with your breakup! Just remember your worth and know you’re loved!
