Winter Trends Oklahoma State Women Can’t Seem to Get Enough Of

If you’re anything like me, you think that part of the fun of going to class is seeing what others are wearing. Also, if you’re anything like me, you tend to notice when a large amount of people start wearing the same thing as each other, picking up on each other’s trends.

I’ve noticed three specific items that have really caught on on campus this semester, and that I predict will make it until the sun comes back out and winter ends.

I swear to god, a girl said to me a few days ago, “They’re so ugly, they’re cute. I want to get a pair just because everyone else is wearing them!” Now I’m never one to advocate for following trends blindly and because everyone else is doing it, but I can vouch for the warmth and durability of a good pair of duck boots. When winter storm Jonas finally rolls around to Oklahoma and brings us buckets of snow, you’ll wish you had a pair of these perfect-for-tromping-through-a-blizzard boots.

*BEEP BEEP BEEP*That’s the sound of your alarm screaming at you, after having hit the snooze buton 4 or 5 times. You’re late for class, and as you’re pulling on your shoes and zipping up your coat, you catch a glimpse at yourself in the mirror and nearly scream. Your hair is a mess, but there is absolutely no time for you to fix it and still make it in time for the pop quiz you know your professor will pass out. Beanies are here to save the day, though! In addition to keeping your ears warm, these knitted cuties will keep you not looking like a family of birds tried to nest in your hair.

I can’t say I know of anyone who gets up in the morning and says, “You know, I’d really like to look basic today.” Unless you are that person, a faux-fur vest is the perfect piece to make your everyday jeans and sweater combo that much chic-er. Whether you choose a natural looking brown or grey faux-fur, or an interesting dye like pink or maroon or even striped, a faux-fur vest will elevate any look and help you stand out.
