That’s the opening line from Ty Dolla $ign’s recent song Zaddy, which is building up the anticipation for his new mixtape Campaign coming out Septemeber 23.
Honestly, I’m a fan of him. From his style to his raspy voice, he always delivers on every song he’s on. He recently released his album Free TC which had some nice songs on it. The album was a very personal project, as well. The backdrop for the video is the energized city of what looks to be Tokyo with futuristic aspects throughout from the city to the beautiful Asian cyborg he falls in love with.
The song is smooth, with some explicit lyrics of course, but I like the direction Ty’s trying to go in. It’s new and it’s refreshing because he’s trying to bring the R&B feel to the Rap game in his own way. I don’t know about you, but if this song is a taste of the songs coming Septemeber 23 on his mixtape Campaign, I can’t wait!
