The Ultimate Guide To Freshening Up Your Home For The Spring

Spring has officially begun and with that comes the need to change your space and your environment. I am someone that is greatly effected by my environment and the space I am in and if you’re anything like me then you know what I mean.

 

Kitchen

– Empty out all the drawers and cabinets and throw away anything that is broken or that you no longer use or need.

– Clean out the fridge and throw out old and expired food.

– Wipe down the inside of the fridge and inside of the freezer.

– Reorganize food that is still good into the freezer and fridge

– Clean out the over (most have a self cleaning option)

– Put everything into a new space and organize by type of object

– Wipe down counters, top of stove, and the sink

 

Bathroom

– Take out trash

– Clean out all drawers and cabinets

– Reorganize towels, wash clothes, and all beauty products

– Throw away any expired products or empty bottles

– Wipe down bathtub, toilet, and sink

– Clean mirrors

– Sweep

– Mop

 

Bedroom

 

– Change sheets and make your bed

– Gather all dirty clothes and separate into piles to wash (colors, darks, whites, etc.)

– Clean out closet and dresser drawers, get rid of any clothes that are no longer in season, or that you no loner wear

– Get rid of things you no longer need or want

– Organize dresser drawers

– Clean off top of dresser, desk, vanity, night stand, etc.

– Dust furniture

– Sweep floors

– Take out trash

– Mop floors

 

Laundry Room

– Buy multiple baskets for dirty clothes and gather all dirty clothes off the floor

– Wipe off tops of washer and dryer to get rid of any dust or laundry detergent/ softener/ bleach residue

– Organize any shelves

– Throw away any empty products

– Sweep

– Mop
