Oklahoma State Announces Homecoming Theme 2012

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at OK State chapter.

Oklahoma State University is known for its homecoming celebration that is thrown every year. OSU’s Alumni Association states that it’s America’s biggest homecoming celebration in the country.

It is a week that is filled with fun for the whole family leading up to the homecoming game that usually falls on the Saturday of homecoming weekend. This year the homecoming game is Saturday, October 20, 2012.
Every year for homecoming, there is a different theme and this year’s theme is The Life, The Legend, The Legacy. With such an exciting theme, the whole weekend is bound to be filled with fun activities. One of the main activities is the parade filled with student made floats the morning of the game. It is a big deal through the whole campus and students work really hard to stick to the theme and make the floats seem very realistic.

The Friday before the event is walk around, where greek houses decorate the porches and decks of their houses to match the homecoming theme. The greek community takes the homecoming to heart so much so, that they have already began planning! (That’s some serious dedication right there!
