Today I am doing something different for the blog. I picked out a regular fall outfit from my closet that included some of the trends we will see during this fall. The outfit is simple, casual, and has a little taste of what my style is about. I love to neutralize intense colors or patterns with simple and basic tones of black or brown. It just makes the outfit more pleasing to the eye. The blouse that I selected for the outfit is made of color blocks, which were all over the runway during fashion week all over the world. Combining bold colors, whether it be on a pattern of a shirt, or by placing different clothing items together, gives a touch of the 60’s mod trend. 60’s trends will be heavy this season. Also, we all love cozy and chunky fall sweaters. I recently bought a dark brown one and I am absolutely in love with it. I put this sweater over the color block shirt so that the colors wouldn’t be overwhelming when someone looks at me. For the shirt, you can also use one with bold prints as the base of the outfit.
I chose a pair of grey skinny jeans and my favorite riding boots. Remember how I told you about the accessories being perhaps the most important element of an outfit? Well, I chose to wear my cross necklace and big rings. To me, the cross necklace simply expresses the passion and enthusiasm I have for my faith and the rings represent how much I love to work hands on with things. I love my hands. I enjoy work when I actually get to construct or get to have a hands-on experience.

She believes that although a $1,200 sundress looks fantastic on the runway, there are less expensive alternatives to looking fabulous. Knowing how to shop on a budget is a vital skill for every college woman. She has recently completed a life-changing study abroad experience in London and a visual merchandising internship at White House Black Market in Dallas. Becca wants to show the fashion world that you can look beautiful without breaking the bank.
