Oh how I love being in Greek Life, but the month of October truly makes me question my sanity in the greek world. From getting ready for homecoming to going to all my classes, it can be quite a hassle.

Well here is what it’s like to be greek during America’s Greatest Homecoming!

Not only do you have 13 hours of classes a week, but you also have to somehow rack up 12 hours of pomping, and try to have a social life.

You find glue/pomp in your hair, on your clothes, and sometimes on your phone, wallet, and backpack.

You spend hours of your life in one room, sitting in a chair, shoving tissue paper in a small square of chicken wire, over and over again.

You’re up until 3 AM most nights pomping to get all your hours in for the week so you wont get fined or lose merit points.

The only social life you have is when you see your friends in the pomp room.

But in the end, when the house deck is up, the pomping is done, and the late nights spent bonding with your sisters and friends is over, you realize that all those late nights and getting to be a part of the best tradition ever was worth it.
