After the hot summer, most of us have multi-colored and vibrant items in our closet that we are going to attempt to reuse during the fall season. This fall is definitely a colorful one, but there is nothing wrong with going back to the classic black and white color scheme on a regular day.

This young lady from Japan has a simple style that can turn heads; hence it happened to me and my friends. When I saw Miss Momoko Akasaka wearing the black and white combination, I adored her outfit. I think what struck me the most was the simplicity and elegance of such components. Momoko wore black skinny jeans, a black skinny belt accompanied with a simple white sheer button-up shirt, and a pair of charcoal lace-up heeled boots. I loved how she took a chance and wore heels on campus. She made walking in heels look effortless, even as a college student. As I told her that she was going to be featured on the blog, she got very thrilled and excited. Her attitude was nice and humble and after I talked to her, I could definitely tell that her style reflected her personality and charisma.

When dressing for the fall, don’t stay focused on wearing the colors that everyone else is wearing. Of course we want to stay in style, but I believe that this is how people blend in and don’t stand out as much. It is always fun and even risky to use our basic colors and combine them in an interesting yet simple way to express our elegance. And ladies always remember: accessories are one of the most important parts of an outfit.
