Why You Should Switch Up Your Current Hairstyle

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Ohio U chapter.

I believe there is no better way to instantly improve your mood than making the rash decision to cut your hair. Whether it’s simply a trim or you decide to pull an Emma Watson and go pixie, a new ‘do can change your whole outlook on life. Here are my top reasons for taking the plunge and cutting your hair.

1. Did you break up with your significant other? Did you fail your O Chem exam? Whatever happened took place in the time of your life with your old hair. Get your hair cut and a new phase of your life will begin– the one where you realize everything will work out for the best.

2. You basically get a free head massage. There is something special about someone else washing your hair for you. It is among the most relaxing things you can do, unless you are an avid mani-pedi consumer.

3. You won’t have to wash your hair for at least three days. I don’t know how it works, but after your hairdresser works their magic, your hair stays fresh for a solid three days. If you know how to work the system (A.K.A. just being a busy college student), you can most likely make it last for up to a week.

4. You’ll feel like a million bucks. Looks aren’t everything, but having your chopped hair blowing in the wind while walking down the street in your biggest sunglasses will make you feel like a celebrity.

Just a quirky fashion journalist trying to get it right!
