With fest season rapidly approaching Ohio University students are sitting on pins and needles awaiting the big reveal for the thirteenth annual Number Fest headliners. So far the Governors Ball, Bonnaroo and Coachella have all released their lineups for summer 2015. That being said does their decision help to decide who will be taking our stage here in Athens? Let’s see which artists are heading on tour and who may be stopping to fest with the best here at OU.

So far we know Drake is the king of this year’s summer music festivals. Currently he is booked to headline both Coachella and the Governors Ball with rumors of him also taking the stage at Lollapalooza, another major festival based in Chicago. Who knows maybe between dates he can swing over to Athens and be the best we’ve ever had!

Number Fest alumni Kendrick Lamar will also be performing at Bonnaroo so should we be bracing ourselves for a possible encore or do the people over at Prime Social have something even better in store?  As we await the news, let’s take a look at the other heavy weights hitting the road this summer.

The Governors Ball booked several popular artists along with Drake including Lana Del Ray, Florence and the Machine, Weird Al, in addition to many of the up and coming artists. Bonnaroo will be throwing it back with some popular artist from back in the day with artists such as Billy Joel, Earth Wind and Fire, and Mumford and Sons! Lastly we know Coachella the major music festival in California has a little bit for everyone, from ACDC to popular artist The Weekend. So with all these heavyweights who can we expect to see here in Athens? I guess we will just have to wait and see!
