It was the moment we had all been waiting for: T-PAIN WAS IN ATHENS, and the crowd went WILD.

But seriously, we went wild.

The concert took place in the Templeton-Blackburn Alumni Memorial Auditorium, AKA Memaud, which is located on College Green. The concert was hosted by the Black Student Cultural Programing Board. The gates opened at 7pm and for the first hour and a half, DJ Band Camp filled the extremely crowded building full of Ohio University students and their siblings with hip-hop throwbacks that got the whole auditorium on their feet.

He played music ranging from Usher to our 14-fest star, Fetty Wap! This definitely got the crowd pumped and ready for the arrival of T-Pain. Not only was it just T-Pain sharing his amazing vocal skills and talents with us, but accompanying him was his best friend with the same amount of energy as the main star. They were a dynamic duo to say the least!

Not only did T-Pain bring his vocal talents, he also brought a whole lot of humor and had the crowd laughing in between almost every song. During the second song, T-Pain actually ripped off his sweatshirt to reveal his Ohio University t-shirt. He knew that’d get us! He proceeded to scream “OU!” to which the crowd replied with “OH YEAH!” This was most definitely a crowd pleaser.

Lucky for us, he sang his most famous and well known singles, “Bartender” and “Buy U a Drank,” which of course, did not disappoint!

Like I said, the crowd went WILD. We were so lucky to have T-Pain here to perform for us.

Just another reason to love OU!
