Spring 2019 Fashion Trends You Need To Incorporate Into Your Wardrobe

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Ohio U chapter.
Neutrals, baby!

Head-to-toe neutrals are huge this spring. This matchy-matchy look is totally sleek and easy to accomplish! Aim for an ensemble full of nudes, tans and browns. If you feel the need to break it up with a pop of color, try adding a colorful accessory such as a belt or a pair of statement earrings. You can also switch it up by mixing together different textures, shapes and varying shades.

Bike shorts are still going strong

Yes, the athleisure trend of bike shorts is still in for this spring. The garment is evolving to be more chic and less sporty. Designers are now playing with textures and pairing the shorts with more classy pieces. That doesn’t mean you need to throw away your sporty spandex bike shorts, however. Upgrade your old shorts to fit this season’s trend by pairing them with a nice blouse and a simple pair of heels.

Neons are in!

A common theme for spring 2019 is retro trends. Neon is no exception here. This spring, expect all of your favorite pieces to be sold in neon pink, lime green and highlighter yellow. Power suits, formal dresses and even accessories are going to stand out in a big way this spring. Neons help to brighten up one’s complexion after a cold winter, too, so that’s a plus.

Patterned Suits

Powerful women everywhere are about to start debuting extra AF patterned suits and we are here for it. The typical black, white and gray color palette for suits is not quite cutting it this season. Busy patterns mixed with professional attire is everything this spring.

Tie-dye is making a comeback

This free-spirited pattern from the ’60s is making a huge comeback this spring. It was seen all over the runways on blazers, blouses and dresses. This psychedelic style is an easy way to liven up a plain and boring outfit to being groovy, baby! Pair your tie-dye with denim for a totally laid-back look, or dress it up with some heels and a sleek blouse.
