Name: Shane Darrow

Major: Journalism

Relationship status: Single

Plans for after graduation: Grad School in Athens, or interning with the Florida Panthers

Where would you go if you had a time machine? Back to move in day freshman year so I could have four more years in Athens

Do you have a “type” of girl you usually go for? If so what is she like, or what do you look for? My type is tan, blonde/brunette, and athletic. Someone who is always down to go out and do something fun and doesn’t take life too seriously. I enjoy girls who like to laugh and are very driven.

Organizations/Involvement: Current active member and former President of Pi Kappa Phi fraternity, and assistant captain of the division-two hockey heroes.

What is your ideal date-night? I’m down with a girl that lets me cook for her, so probably a good dinner at my apartment and then head uptown for a cocktail or five.

Biggest turnoff: Arrogance and/or a bad attitude.

What was the worst experience/date you’ve ever had with a girl? When I was a senior in high school my girlfriend at the time got asked to prom by another kid in my high school, and she said yes. So that was a pretty big buzz kill.

Where are you most likely to be spotted on campus? The Bermuda Triangle: Crystal, CI, or Pawpurrs.

What is something no one knows about you? I played the French horn in sixth grade, but the only song I could play was “My Heart Will Go On” by Celine Deon. I shredded that instrument.

Favorite part about Ohio University? Happy hour.

Any last comments: The way to my heart is through laughter, Chinese food, and race poker.
Junior Journalism major and Junior editor at Ohio University.
