It was treasures galore after I scoured the forgotten, yester-year wardrobes of moms Kathy Reed and Kirsten O’Connor. Bursting out alive and wiping off the dust, I brought with me armfuls of today-worthy apparel, perfect for creating some killer, new looks. Thanks to the chic pieces that I found, I was able to create six ensembles out of mom-wear, most of which you can wear to class! Don’t let the mom-jeans fool you, girls: your momma’s got style. Search through her closet (after asking of course) and see what goodies you can find!

Top to bottom: Outfit 1:Mom a Deadhead? That means she probably has some pretty awesome full-length skirts like this one courtesy of Kathy Reed; Outfit 2: Don’t forget to sneak a peek at dad’s side of the closet. Papa O let me snag a pair of old jeans that I made into cool cut-offs!; Outfit 3: I acquired this LBD from my mother. After a quick hem, it was ready to be paired with this awesome floral sweater that was my aunts, and a necklace passed down to Helen by her grandmother.; Outfit 4: Elastic on vintage can be tricky, but luckily this black skirt was still intact. The gold earrings were found in my mom’s jewelry box.; Outfit 5: This dress was a wonderful discovery by model, Helen Reed. Her mom’s old dress fits perfectly!; Outfit 6: I found this little number in Kirsten’s closet. The look was enhanced with bangles from Helen’s side and some thigh-high socks.
