What degree/specializations did you receive? Bachelors of Business Administration. My major was Marketing.

What were you involved in while at OU? I was in a Professional Business Fraternity (Delta Sigma Pi), Select Leadership Development Program, and the American Marketing Association.

What is your favorite memory of Athens? Does fest season count as a favorite memory? Although I’m not too sure how much remembering was going on then… and that time a car drove into The Crystal.

What are you doing now? I am currently in Columbus working in the exciting industry of Digital Marketing. Every day I learn something new. I may have graduated but that doesn’t mean there aren’t new challenges, new things to learn, or new experiences to be made.

What do you think makes you so popular on social media? You know… I’ve got asked this question a bunch of times and I’ve never really been able to answer it. The truth is that I don’t really know how it happened. I’ve always been really active on a variety of social media sites over the years. It started with Tumblr long ago and then I made the shift to Twitter and since then I’ve just seemed to gain a following wherever I go and it’s mostly from college girls who are looking to have a new funny, gay best friend. I mean I don’t blame them. But as my Twitter and Instagram bio says, “being everyone’s favorite homo is exhausting.”

When do you plan on returning to Athens? You can expect to find me on Court Street on Homecoming Weekend. I wouldn’t miss my first one coming back as an alumnus. After that, you may see me appear from time to time. There’s a good chance that if I’m there, you’ll see me at the CI.

What are you missing the most? Oh boy… everything really. I miss the bricks, the trees, the hills, the wonderful people I met there, the cheap drinks, the carefree feeling I got driving around town with the top down in my car, the Ridges, having all of my best friends within minutes from me. But I’ll tell you this… Athens will always be there. Those memories are never going to go away. But don’t ever let anyone tell you that college is the best years of your life. Sure, they are a great 4 (or 5) years of your life and Ohio University is a true oasis, but there is a whole world out there waiting. Athens will always be a part of you, but new adventures are always out there.

Do you have any advice to those still in Athens? Well I guess I skipped ahead a little on that last question but I’ll go ahead and give you guys some more advice because why not? My biggest piece of advice to those still in Athens would be to do anything and everything. If your friend asks you to go out on a Tuesday night for 50-cent drafts at Pawpurr’s, do it. If someone asks you to go hiking up Bong Hill or Radar Hill, do it. Go walk around The Ridges on a foggy fall night. Eat at every restaurant possible. Go to every bar at least once (even the Smiling Skull). Take a trip out to Hocking Hills and check out how beautiful Southeast Ohio truly is. Basically what I’m trying to say is… Experience as much as you can during your short amount of time in Athens and at Ohio University. I know it sounds really cliché, but it really does go faster than you think. And everyone will tell you that and you’ll be like, “Yeah yeah whatever,” until it’s spring semester of senior year and you’re scrambling to figure out what’s next. Love every minute of your time there. I know I sure did.
