The Internet: Procrastination at Your Fingertips

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Ohio U chapter.

Happy finals week, Collegiettes! If any of you are like me and avoid studying like the plague then you will need some time consuming and slightly addictive websites to keep you company during this cruel and stressful week. Because what is finals week without the perfected art of procrastination?

Now procrastination doesn’t always have to be a bad thing. There are so many websites out there that can inspire you to tackle other projects, improve and update your style or just to get a little distracted from some serious eye candy. Here are my suggestions for sites that will allow you to procrastinate productively…for the most part.

My go-to procrastination website is, drum roll please…Pinterest! This is the ultimate distraction but it is also extremely helpful if you are looking for inspiration for an outfit or if you want an idea for an original DIY project. So sign up and start pinning to your virtual pin boards. You will waste a lot of time.

Another time-consuming site is www.style.com. If you are a slave to fashion and love to keep up to date on the latest runway shows and news in the fashion world then this site will be your own slice of heaven. You can watch the shows, check out complete collections, study trends and most importantly, shop! This website is a great tool to help you craft your own designer looks for less.

My final suggestion to cure your finals week blues is a tumblr that compares Ryan Gosling to puppies…enough said, right? This site places cute photos of puppies next to even cuter photos of Ryan Gosling showing them doing similar things. Spoiler alert, Mr. Gosling wins almost every time. Check it out at http://ryangoslingvspuppy.tumblr.com.

Good luck with finals this week and happy procrastinating!
