Fall fashion – my personal favorite season of dress – is among us. Although it still feels like summer, it’s time to fill your closets with the chicest trends from February’s New York Fashion week that showcased fall/winter 2016 collections. Get ready, ladies. It’s time to shop!

Statement Fur

Don’t be afraid to stand out with a bright colored or printed fur. Regardless of real or faux fur, both provide warmth and texture to an outfit. Add a pop of color and you’ll be set

Tan

One of the classiest colors is out to flaunt this fall. Be on the lookout for items such as skirts, sweaters, and pants in many different shades of tan.

Off-the-Shoulder Tops and Dresses

Not only is this style super comfy, but it also exudes a sexy, feminine vibe. Dressed up or down, off-the-shoulder is subtly elegant.

Metallic

Shiny, metallic tops and skirts are prominent this fall. Why not add a splash of glitz and glam to your wardrobe? Go out in gold! Gold metallic was especially popular on the February runways.

Dusty Pink

This color is beautiful worn alone, but it can be versatile. Dusty pink was paired with yellow accents in New York Fashion Week. When worn with a sweater or jacket form, the autumn vibe is established.

Florals

Bold floral patterns were added to several designer collections. The floral print added a distinct pop of color to achromatic garments.

Aviator Jackets

Also known as “bomber” jackets, the classic shape of the coat can be worn in rural and urban settings. This provides much versatility for the outfit worn under the jacket.

Plaid

The pattern was not only on dresses and skirts, but overcoats as well. Plaid adds timelessness and power to any outerwear.
