How long have you been involved with PRSSA?
Since my freshman year!
What made you decide to run for president?
I’ve been actively involved since my freshman year and I’ve gained so much from this organization that I just wanted to give back to the members and help them get the same experience I did. Plus I’ve attended so many PRSSA national events and it’s honestly my passion.
Were you surprised when you won the election?
Yes! It’s something I’ve wanted for so long and everyone that ran was an extremely qualified and talented candidate. It’s a cool feeling to know that the whole chapter has faith in me and thinks I’ll be a great leader. I teared up a little.
What will your main duties as president be?
My main duties will include overseeing the executive board, creating the Prezi for chapter meetings, working with the Executive VP to schedule great programming for the chapter, working with members to make sure they are getting the most out of their experience, attending the PRSSA leadership rally in June and PRSSA national conference in October and more!
Fun Fact: I was an extra in the movie Divergent that came out this week!
