Blogilates Review

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Ohio U chapter.
Many times, I find myself to be on a health kick: running, crunching, squatting, and eating healthily. Unfortunately, my bouts of motivation often last only a month or two, at most, before I long for fried, cheesy food. I also tend to get really tired of monotonous workouts. Recently, I stumbled upon a website that inspires me to push myself and really live a healthy lifestyle.

Cassey Ho is the face behind blogilates.com. On this website, she posts delicious meal plans, colorful and inspirational workout calendars, and energizing workout videos. The website also features a shop that includes the cutest exercise gear.

The meal plans feature food that is healthy AND tasty. There are red velvet cupcakes, banana pancakes, cheeseburgers, crepes and much more. There are also accommodations for vegan diets. Weight loss does not solely depend on exercising; a good portion of becoming healthy depends on what you are putting into your body. With the Blogilates recipes and meal plans, it is so much more enjoyable to fuel your body with food that is good for you.

To access each monthly calendar, you have to sign up for the website’s newsletter. You will receive a password via email, which you then enter to have the ability to obtain the calendar. Under each day on the calendar there is a list of the workout videos you need to watch and complete. Don’t stress too much, because there are rest days! You can check off each workout as you complete it, which really helps show what you have done. Seeing all of the work I have done already really helps motivate me to keep going and put in more work!

When I watched a Blogilates video for the first time, I was so frustrated with how energized Ho was as she pushed through the workout. I couldn’t believe all of the really positive things she was saying as I struggled through the exercise. I thought she was crazy. Then, she talked about her nail polish and just started talking about things other than the workout. This distracted me just enough to finish up the move I was working on. Her positive attitude and down-to-earth personality helps keep me and thousands of other followers motivated to keep exercising regularly.

The Blogilates shop has inspirational and cute workout gear, including sweatshirts, tank tops, sweatpants, yoga bottoms, mats, gym bags, and more! The clothing is bright and vibrant, and has motivational phrases such as “Sweat Happy,” “Train Insane or Remain the Same,” “Beast Mode,” and “Sore Today, Strong Tomorrow.” The prices are really reasonable as well, which is perfect for college ladies trying to get in shape!

Although all of these aspects to Blogilates are great, there are two other parts of this website that are even more wonderful: the leader and the followers. Cassey Ho is very upbeat, energetic, and innovating. My favorite thing is that she is constantly communicating with the people that admire her. She tweets to followers regularly, and snaps adorable pictures with the people that she meets. While so many people look up to her, Ho also admires all of the people who are a part of the Blogilates family. I love going to the “Before and After” section of blogilates.com. The girls listed here changed their lives with these awesome workout videos, and their determination and success drives me to keep working out.

Although I am new to Blogilates, I know it is not something I will be quitting. This is by far the most motivating way I have come across to starting a healthy lifestyle. The support, inspiration, and fun is nearly endless with this website, and I cannot wait to take my “After” picture!
