We’ve all been there: your class starts at 9 a.m. and you roll out of bed at 8:45, yikes! You throw your hair into a messy bun but you need a fresh face to show off to the cute guy who sits next to you.

You only have five minutes, so what should you do?

Start with a primer. You should wash your face first to rid of oils and dirt, but you need primer to make this makeup last. (Time: 30 seconds.)

Next add a powder foundation. Make it quick and snappy, and be sure to get it on your neck. (Time: 30 seconds.)

For your eyes, use a nude shade on the brow bone and light brown (maybe a little sparkle!) on the lid. Try brown eyeliner on the tight line of your lashes and brown or black mascara to finish. (Time: 2 minutes.)

Next, apply a cream-based blush to your cheeks. It’s bolder than powder, and you need a little fun in your makeup! Be sure to blend it in well. (Time: 45 seconds.)

Finally, stabilize your crazy brows with brow gel. If you don’t have gel, spritz hairspray on a brow brush and run it over them. You’ll thank yourself. (Time: 1 minute.)

Final time: 4 minutes and 45 seconds.

Use the last 15 seconds to check yourself over, and voilà! Perfect timing.
