Summer has come to an end, but some islanders are still looking for love and a potential check with the reboot series “Love Island Games.” Fourteen former “Love Island” alums are back to go head-to-head in this challenge-based reality show currently airing Sunday through Friday on Peacock.

Let us look at the lineup

With all of the All-Stars amongst the cast for this spin-off, let us see a quick headcount of the islanders worldwide.

United States – 10

United Kingdom – 9

Australia – 4

France – 1

Sweden – 1

Germany – 1

Of a total of 26 islanders, only 12 start in the villa as “OG’s,” as the following trickled in as “bombshells” for the remainder of the season.

Key All-Stars

Amongst the lineup, there were a few islanders, as well as matchups, that I, as well as avid “Love Island” watchers, were anticipating before the launch of the first episode on Nov. 1.

Justine’s Second Chance at Love

Justine Ndiba thought bombshell Caleb Corprew was the one as she approached a standstill in her relationship with Tre Forte on season two of “Love Island USA.” A man narrowing down his options and choosing the woman who was “best for him,” America (and myself included) fell into the depths of their relationship and were quickly swayed by the charms of the Oklahoma City native. Their relationship flourished, and by the time Casa Amor came around Caleb stayed loyal, and their crown and $100 thousand check were in the bag.

Nevertheless, after the show ended, a secret girlfriend and true intentions from Caleb shut the brewing relationship down before it could begin. Former “The Challenge” contestant proves to be back and better than ever as she competes for love and a second crown. Justine seems to be keeping her options open this time around as she builds relationships with former U.K. islanders Jack Fincham from season four and Curtis Pritchard from season five.

Battle of the Exes

Season two of the U.S. franchise strikes again as exes Cely and Johnny see each other three years after their messy break-up that consisted of shady Instagram lives and empty apologies.

Johnny Middlebrooks leaves the viewers in disarray as he arrives as a bombshell to kiss ex-girlfriend Cely Vazquez while blindfolded. While the mission for the brand-new bombshells was to kiss two islanders, they “fancied,” viewers were shocked and confused as to why Johnny would kiss Cely, especially after the mess of a breakup that was witnessed by all.

The public did not have to wait too long for an answer to their questions as Johnny revealed himself to the islanders before his big battle against islander Ray for a chance to couple up with Imani, the other islander he chose to kiss the previous night. When asked why he did such a thing to his ex whom he has not talked with for three years he responded, “to break the ice.”

Well, the ice definitely broke, but not in the way Johnny may have wanted, as Cely stood her ground and pulled him for a conversation that seemingly turned into a blaming match. Long story short Cely paid for their trip to Hawaii, but Johnny could not pay for nachos at The Cheesecake Factory. Johnny, of course, couldn’t dream of apologizing for his mistake but did so simply to save face in front of millions.

As Cely makes progress with islander Toby from the U.K. season, and Johnny makes his rounds in the Fiji villa, it is bound to be a good season with those two in the mix.

Scott’s Last Wish

A genie only grants three wishes, and Scott’s on his last as he appears as a bombshell for the third time through the “Love Island” franchise.

Those who have watched the two recent “Love Island” seasons from the U.K. and the U.S. know of islander Scott van-der-Sluis. Some are tired of seeing him on their TV, and others are overjoyed to see what kind of mess he will bring to the table on this “Love Island Games” series.

On his first go at love on U.K. season 10 of “Love Island,” Scott came into the villa as a bombshell, and immediately gravitated towards islander Catherine Agbaje. Viewers loved them as a couple and their winner’s crown was in the bag until the fateful Casa Amor recoupling. Catherine returned with someone, while Scott stayed loyal causing an uproar with the public.

Ultimately not finding love after Catherine gets dumped and wanting another chance at love, or the $100 thousand cash prize, Scott travels to the U.S. only weeks after the U.K. version has ended. Getting the boot after only a few days in the villa after pursuing Imani (who is in the villa currently for “Love Island Games”) along with a few other contestants, Scott appears again as we wait for his arrival as a bombshell.

Viewers are not only tired of seeing Scott grace the “Love Island” villa, but they wonder what is the real reason for joining the show for three seasons in one year. One can only guess as three episodes have currently aired and Scott’s appearance as a bombshell is highly anticipated.

What’s The Drama?

Things are only heating up as new episodes drop every day but Saturday, as viewers are hooked on the mess and choices by producers for this season. Although it seems like only a select few are looking for love, the actions of the all-star islanders make up for it tenfold.

No couple at the moment seems locked in as it is still “early days” in the Fiji villa, and a dumping is amongst us that is bound to bring in new all-star islanders.
