When you hear the phrase “wear the pants,” what do you think of?  Power, respect, responsibility?  But who is it usually associated with?
Even in this day and age, men are usually the ones who are seen as “wearing the pants,” whether in the business world or elsewhere.  As a female, it’s sometimes hard to sit back and just accept this.  That’s why I believe that it’s important that all girls help to bury this stereotype once and for all.

“Wearing the pants” is associated with power and leadership.  Why can’t a woman have these qualities attributed to her?
In varying industries there are more and more women running large corporations, yet unfortunately they still don’t get the same pay as their male counterparts just because they don’t “wear the pants”.  If us college women start to take ourselves seriously, and dress the part then nothing is unattainable and anything is achievable.
