Street Style: Sarah Nesheim

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at NYU chapter.

Name: Sarah Nesheim
School: Steinhardt ‘17
Major: Media, Culture, and Communications

HC NYU: What is your go to fall accessory?
SN: Socks because they keep my legs warm and they spice up any outfit.

HC NYU: How would you describe your style?
SN: Probably edgy, and a little bit grunge. I mostly like to experiment with layers.

HC NYU: Do you have any style icons that inspire this original and unconventional style?
SN: Definitely Miley Cyrus, I love her. And Kylie Jenner!

An all black ensemble is a risky undertaking, as it can sometimes be a bit boring. However, Sarah rocked this look. Sheer tights with wool socks over them? Genius. Not to mention the contrasting textures on the dress – leather and chiffon – make it girly and punk. Who knew such a look could be perfected?

A tip from the wise: don’t be afraid to tryout different fabrics throughout your outfit because they might clash – experimenting is key!
