The Seasonal Sip: Where to Get the Best Spring Drinks Around Campus

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at NYU chapter.

As the days lengthen and the temperature finally rises, it’s time for us to retreat from our classic skinny lattes and indulge in some refreshing iced beverages. Whether you’re craving something with a sweet kick or in search of a tangy tasting drink, you won’t be disappointed when trying one of these babies. Read on for some solid spring drink suggestions!

1. Ice Limonana (Aroma)

Address: 145 Greene Street

The Ice Limonana from Aroma is one of my all-time favorite beverages for spring and summer. A sip of this will definitely cool you down on an especially hot day. It’s the perfect blend of sweet and tangy tastes. Warning: don’t drink it too fast, beware of brain freeze!

2. Matcha Iced Latte (Chalait)

Address: 224 W 4th Street

If you’re guilty of trying the Matcha trend, you’ll love this refresher. It’s no question that this Japanese green tea is a hit these days, and Chalait specifically specializes in it. The cafe itself is super cute, so make sure to stop by there for your next coffee date.

3. Hibiscus Tea Squeeze (Argo Tea)

Address: 239 Greene Street or 75 University Place

I think we can all agree that Argo Tea never disappoints us. With its prime location within campus and its perk of accepting dining dollars, what more could you ask for as a college student? For a fruity refresher, definitely stop by and try the Hibiscus Tea Squeeze, ASAP!

4. Iced Almond Latte (La Colombe)

Address: 400 Lafayette Street

I couldn’t resist including a beverage from this legendary cafe. Simply put, the coffee blends from La Colombe are always on point. For all you caffeine-lovers, this is right up your alley. A short walk from campus will lead you to your beverage match made in heaven.

5. Shaken Iced Peach Green Tea (Starbucks)

Address: 79 Washington Square E

This wouldn’t be an article about beverages if a classic Starbucks drinks wasn’t featured in it. Green Tea. Peach. Iced. Starbucks. Must I say more? Oh, and Dining Dollars too. This one is a no-brainer.

6. Iced Tea Blends (The Bean)

Address: 824 Broadway

For many of you, The Bean is probably a regular shop that you pass everyday on your way to campus. On your next venture to class, stop by beforehand and order one of their signature iced tea blends. Whether you’re in the mood for the Simple Black, Hurricane Island, or the Ruby Red, you won’t regret your purchase!

7. Pomegranate Blueberry Ice Blended Drink (The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf)

Address: 189 Bleeker Street

If you’re a berry-lover, this is the right move. The tart flavor from the juice paired with a sweet kick from the whipped cream topping is simply amazing. Next time you’re out for brunch in Greenwich Village, you must stop by this spot for a tasty refresher.

8. Iced Chai Tea Latte (Caffe Reggio)

Address: 119 Macdougal Street

Located in the heart of Greenwich Village, Caffe Reggio is one of downtown Manhattan’s oldest coffee spots. If you’re looking for a low-key place to de-stress from finals, this is definitely for you. As the home of the “Original Cappuccino,” you won’t be disappointed with any of their coffee or tea blends!
