Hype & Vice Collegiate Brand Announces Custom NYU Apparel

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at NYU chapter.

We are so excited to share that the female-first apparel brand Hype & Vice is expanding their Made-To-Order program to New York University this semester!

Co-CEOs Kimberely Robles and Cecilia Gonzalez are thrilled to be growing to a city school like NYU, where they foresee the launch of new styles — including an athleisure line.

“Back in 2015 we never could have imagined Hype & Vice would be where it is today. After sitting in our dorm-room what feels like yesterday, we really are a testament that if you can put your mind to something you can make it happen almost 100% of the time,” said Co-CEO Kimberely Robles.

“The best part for me has been watching women across the country feel empowered in our pieces on social media, knowing we have the privilege of being a small part of some of the best years of their lives” Co-CEO Cecilia Gonzalez said.

The core mission of Hype & Vice is to bring school spirit back to the forefront of the college experience, specifically for women, despite the Covid-19 pandemic tainting the lives of students across the country.

Robles and Gonzalez recall walking into the USC Campus Bookstore to shop for cute and comfy university clothing to wear to class, noticing there was a lack of trendy women’s wear to pick from.

As sports is one of the most (if not the most) male-dominated spaces still plagued with inequality on all fronts, Hype & Vice is destroying these now outdated norms and ‘equaling the playing field.’

The best part? Hype & Vice is 100% ethically produced, and is currently using all leftover scraps from production to create university-themed face masks to protect students as they head back to campus this semester.

Through empowering, trendy, feminine styles, Hype & Vice continues to take on new campuses expanding it’s apparel line and reinstating school spirit across the country, licensed at over 60 universities across the United States.

Hi my name is Egesi Iheduru and I am originally from Phoenix, Arizona but am now studying Psychology and Cinema Studies at New York University! I love to watch all types of movies, ranging from indie art films to superhero franchises (forever Team Marvel!). Some of my hobbies include cheerleading, gymnastics, singing, and shopping at the mall. In the near future, I see myself working in either political psychology or screenwriting/acting in feature films. I'm very excited to be joining Her Campus to share some of my wisdom I've learned throughout my college experience.
Senior at NYU studying English and Journalism. Big fan of conspiracy theories, superheroes, and good coffee.
