As the holiday season begins, you might find yourself invited to a plethora of different events. I have to confess that one of my favorite parts of this time of year is the exciting party season it brings! From a family Christmas party to a gift exchange with friends to the fashion-anxiety-inducing New Year’s Eve, trying to figure out what to wear to each gathering can be a project, not to mention the challenge of finding cute outfits that work in the cold December weather. I’m here with some suggestions for festive looks that work for all kinds of parties!

Family Party – Crop Sweater with Midi Tulle Skirt

This outfit is glam without being too over-the-top and is the perfect amount of festive for the holiday season! Depending on how casual (or not) your party is, you can dress this outfit down with chunky white sneakers or dress it up with a pair of metallic heels for a more elegant look!

Gift Exchange with Friends – Oversized Sweater & Thigh-High Boots

This event is one of my absolute favorite things to do over the holidays – I’m a compulsive gift-giver, and I love picking out the exact present for each person. A gift exchange usually won’t be as fancy as a family party, which means you can get away with something a little more casual. If you want to be festive and party-ready but also comfy and cozy, this outfit is the perfect pick!

Ice Skating – Winter Whites

Ok, it’s officially time the no-white-after-Labor-Day rule went out the window. An outfit made up of light neutrals, grays, and whites make the perfect choice for an ice skating date. You can pair a flared skirt with black tights for a cute look that you’ll be comfortable skating in, or you can break out your white jeans from August and pair them with an oversized coat and your favorite cold-weather accessories!

New Year’s Eve: GLITTER!

Ok, so maybe it’s a little cliché, but how often do you get to wear full-on sparkles? I vote to copy the disco ball at the overcrowded club you and your friends choose and pick an outfit that would make the ball in Times Square jealous. Gold, silver, pale pink, you can’t go wrong! Choose a mini dress for a classic NYE fit, or go for a jumpsuit for added chic value!

I hope you find the perfect outfit for every holiday party this season!
