8 Cute Sneakers That are NOT Adidas

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at NYU chapter.

So, I’m sure you’ve noticed that Adidas made an unexpected comeback and completely took over the feet of our entire generation. While I tried my best to abstain from having the same shoes as every other millennial, I must admit that I eventually caved and purchased a pair. Whether you’re more of a ‘Stan Smith’ or ‘Superstar’ kind of girl, you have to admit that they are super cute and go with everything. The reality is that there are so many sneakers out there that we really don’t all need or want to look the same. Here are some super cute sneakers that will automatically make you stand out in a crowd.

1. ‘Chapala’ Sneaker by ED Ellen Degeneres: $97.95

These sneakers are the closest to the classic Adidas on the list. They will give you the Adidas look you are seeking, but with a little added personality and style from the suede on the heel. Also, who doesn’t love Ellen?

2. Suede Sneaker by Puma: $69.95

These comfy sneakers are perfect for every season. The suede makes them great for the fall and winter, but the light baby pink color will carry them into the warm weather months.

3. ‘Bertie’ Metallic Platform Sneaker by Steve Madden: $69.95

Awesome for any girls who are looking to add a sparkle and height into their day, these shoes won’t disappoint. The rose gold will go with every outfit and the platform will have people wondering why your legs look so great.

4.‘Sk8-Hi’ Moc Sneaker by Vans: $79.95

These sneakers are great for anyone with a bohemian style. The pale light blue is gorgeous and the fringe will for sure lead to a constant flow of compliments.

5. ‘Juvenate’ Sneaker by Nike: $110.00

These maroon leather Nike’s are great for the fall and winter. The color will perfectly complement all your oversized and comfy sweaters. Not to mention, they are also super comfortable for those long walks to class.

6. ‘Sk8-Hi Decon’ Sneaker by Vans: $60.00

These laser cut “leather” high tops are great for all of us who have embraced the classic all black NYC wardrobe. The cutouts are really unique, making these a standout shoe.

7. Angel Slip-on Sneaker by JSlides: $89.95

I’m a huge fan of slip on shoes for days when you are running so late you don’t have time for finding matching socks or tying your shoes. These red velvet ones are cold weather ready and perfect for the holiday season.

8. ‘Air Zoom Structure 19’ Running Shoe by Nike: $120.00

Lastly, I had to include a shoe for those of you who were actually planning on using them for workouts…what a strange concept, right? These black Nikes with pops of neon are playful workout sneakers that aren’t too crazy. They’ll also most likely match with most of your workout clothes too. Win-win.
