5 Ice Cream Spots to Visit Before It Gets Too Cold

Although it’s officially fall, it certainly doesn’t feel like it quite yet based on the current weather. We’re more than ready for Halloween and pumpkin-flavored everything, but before it gets too cold be sure to satisfy your sweet tooth with some ice cream at one of these amazing spots!

1. 10 Below

Looking for a show with your dessert? Check out 10 Below in Chinatown or closer to campus on St. Marks Place. They make Thai-inspired, rolled ice cream right in front of you! Plus, they have  unlimited and super unique toppings like toasted marshmallows, fruity pebbles, and more. It’s fun to watch and even more so to eat!

2. New Territories

If you’re ever craving breakfast and dessert at the same time, New Territories is the place to go. Here, you’ll find ice cream wrapped in “Hong Kong’s infamous street snack (the bubble waffle)”. Ice cream flavors include earl gray, honeycomb, and even ube. They also have mouthwatering milkshakes and specialty cones. Located in the East Village, be sure to check this shop out before the weather gets too cold.

3. Snowdays

This spot adds an icier twist to your everyday ice cream with what they call “shaved cream”. You get ice-cream flavors like NY cheesecake or chocolate, but with a snowy texture. They have large portion sizes, so you may want to share with a friend. Snowdays’ also serves hot drinks for later on in the season. We’re obsessed!

4. Binki Cafe

For super cute, insta-worthy ice cream, check out Binki Cafe in Chinatown. They have soft-serve ice cream with cotton candy characters spun on top! Choose from cuties like a panda, Hello Kitty, or even a minion. Binki Cafe also serves out-of-this-world, galaxy-inspired drinks. Just look at how sweet their IG feed is!

5. Van Leeuwen Ice Cream Shop

There’s truly something for everyone at the iconic Van Leeuwen Ice Cream Shop in the West Village. From the shop’s classic flavors like Peanut Butter Marshmallow Crunch to specials like Strawberry Shortcake, plus a huge assortment of vegan flavors and other sweet treats, you’ll never regret a trip to Van Leeuwen’s.
