With the colder weather creeping in, I’ve noticed my skin becoming drier and duller – long gone are the days of perfectly glowing skin without the help of any highlighter. As a result, I’ve needed to give my skin a little more TLC, which for me, comes in the form of face masks. I’ve dabbled in a fair few, so here are my top picks.
L’Oreal Paris Pure Clay Glow Mask
At the cheaper end of the spectrum, this brightening mask is one of my faves. As part of the L’Oreal Pure Clay range, this is bests suited for dull skin – it gently exfoliates, without drying your skin out, leaving behind a brighter complexion. With kaolin, montmorillonite and ghassoul which clarifies the skin, and red algae which brightens the skin; this mask is a great and affordable all-rounder.
Origins Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask
This has to be one of my favourite masks of all time – I put on a generous layer of this in place of my moisturiser around once a week and leave it on overnight to allow it to sink in. In the morning I wake up with plump, hydrated skin, feeling brand new. It’s a life saver in the colder months when my skin turns from combination to oily, to combination to dry.
TONYMOLY I’m Real Mask – Aloe
Sheet masks are the best type of face mask as they’re so easy (and there’s nothing I love more than jumping out at my flatmates with one on!). This one from the Korean brand TONYMOLY contains aloe vera and ‘bamboo juice’; making for an incredibly soothing and hydrating mask, perfect for the damage that the biting winter wind does to your skin.
