Style Blog: Stealing Celebrity Styles

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Nottingham chapter.

No matter how much we admit it, we all spend time flicking through magazines and scrolling Internet pages – stalking our favourite celebrities to see what they recently wore. We all envy them for wearing their best outfits just to get some coffee from Starbucks or taking their dog for a walk. Sometimes we’re even tempted to buy the same things that they own (if our purses and bank accounts will allow it). Do you ever wish you could look like your favourite celebrity or steal her style but for a more affordable price? There is a way in which you can look like your favourite celebrities but still have enough of your student loan to survive. Here are some outfit ideas that will look great but won’t seriously decrease your bank balance.

Miranda Kerr

Whether she’s walking the Victoria’s Secret Catwalk or just going to the gym for a Pilates session, you have to admit that Miranda Kerr always looks incredible, managing to pull off simple but chic outfits. Miranda really pulls an outfit together with the accessories she chooses such as a fedora and sunglasses. Here are some ideas to copy her style:

Beyoncé

Beyoncé came back with a bang at the Super Bowl half time show this week and with the announcement of her new tour. She manages to make outfits stand out with different materials such as leather and lace, and although you may never learn to dance like Beyonce to ‘Crazy In Love’ you can still steal her sassy style with these outfit ideas:

Victoria Beckham

There’s a reason why Victoria Beckham is on the cover of many magazines every week and it’s not just because she’s married to David Beckham. She always manages to pull off a classic sophisticated style with basics that have a pop of colour. Victoria has been recognized for her great style for years especially after the launch of her own designer label and here are some outfit ideas that can make you look like her (unfortunately you still won’t have David though!)

It’s easy to copy any celebrity’s style that you admire. Just look around on the high street for similar pieces and change something in the outfit like the accessories or shoes to give an outfit your own personal twist.
