Spring Trends 2016

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Nottingham chapter.

You may be wondering why Spring fashion is even a concern when you still have to wear your biggest winter coat and the thought of ditching your fluffiest jumper gives you slight anxiety. But in the fashion world, Spring has been on everyone’s minds for a while. Spring collections are already hitting the shelves and hangers of all your favourite shops. It also never hurts to be prepared and pick out the best pieces ready for those rare occasions when we get slightly more sunshine.

Stripes

Stripes are classic, but this season they are back with a bang. Although the usual striped Breton is in style, bolder striped prints are taking over. This seasons stripes are bigger, more colourful, and more random.

Bomber Jackets

Bomber Jackets aren’t going anywhere this Spring. The more interesting the better, high street shops have started to make bomber jackets with more detailing and patterns to add excitement to any outfit. If you can’t decide, Khaki bombers are very popular right now. If you’re unsure of how to style a bomber jacket, see my latest blog.

Military Chic

This Spring military pieces and khaki are key. The uniform style looks edgy, bold and powerful, as well as being incredibly stylish.

Pajama Style

Pajamas as daytime clothes, what more could you want in life? This seasons slips, lace camisoles, silk shirts and trousers are the perfect way to keep comfortable but look chic at the same time. These pieces would look especially great on a holiday.

Romantic Ruffles

In traditional Spring style, this season is all about romance, ruffles and florals. Think flowing dresses, ,light blouses and pastels. Some of the romantic clothing at the moment also has some Latin vibes.
