Halloween has approached us under the cover of darkness like the creepy monster it is. While it seems like only yesterday we were telling ourselves “there’s no rush, we’ve got ages!”, all of a sudden there are no Crisis tickets left, the best costume ideas have been nabbed, and you’re running low on time to prepare.

But do not fear (there’s plenty of time for that on the 31st)! Her Campus are here to help! Follow our quick’n’easy plan for a simple Halloween run-up.

1.    Step one – bus – Victoria Centre.

2.    Upstairs to the mysterious and rarely visited second floor. Look for the only shop with a queue outside. The only shop with a name like ‘Luvyababes’ that actually gets customers. In this little gem you will find every fancy dress item you could desire. They have it all; coloured contact lenses, fake blood, Hedwigs, various themed costumes, wigs. Go all out and get a complete costume if you want. Or grab a few accessories to add to an outfit you already have.

Top Tip: adding fake blood to anything instantly makes you ‘Zombie
’. Only got an old school tie left over from Fresher’s Week? Instant Zombie Schoolgirl. Determined to wear your favourite penguin onesie out? Zombie Penguin – why not?

3.    Now to Poundland/Poundworld/anything with the word ‘pound’ in the name. Grab a basket and fill with as many tacky decorations as you can find. Rubber spiders, pumpkin-shaped baskets, plastic gravestones – it’s all good.

4.    Topshop or Claire’s Accessories, depending where you’re nearest! Both are great for themed accessories. If you want a pair of ghost earrings or a pumpkin necklace, you’ll find them here!

5.    Superdrug or Boots. Get your hands on some wash-out coloured hairspray like this one if you’re keen to really show off!

6.    Tesco. Last stop for the heaviest things. Sweets for any trick’or’treaters you may get. Drinks – whatever you fancy. And don’t forget the pumpkin!

Top Tip: if you go for a clear drink like Vodka, get some green or red food dye to add to it and you’ve instantly got yourself a mouldy bevvy or a pint of blood!
