#MeetTheTeamMonday: Ellenor Jermyn

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Nottingham chapter.

Each week we will be introducing you to a member of our team with our series #MeetTheTeamMonday. This week, Ellenor has answered a few questions…

Hi Ellenor!

What year are you in and what are you studying at the University of Nottingham?

I’m in my third year (of a four-year course) studying joint honours English and French.

What is your position at Her Campus this year?

I’m a blogger! I predominantly write about my uni experience- keep an eye out for my year abroad series- and any other current obsessions.

What has being at university taught you?

To be more confident in myself. As cliche as it sounds, there are so many people in the world and you’ll never be able to please everyone, so you may as well be the most unapologetically you as you can be.

What is something that you couldn’t live without?

Probably my Carmex lip balm. The thought of going anywhere without it makes me slightly anxious- not the healthiest attitude but it could be worse (at least that’s what I tell myself).

Ocean or Crisis?

What a question… It’s so hard to pick as I do love a Notts night out, but overall I’d have to say Ocean. There’s nothing quite like singing your heart out the Baywatch in a sea of sweaty people whilst getting hit in the face with random t-shirts.

Are you a dog or a cat person?

Cats all the way. Dogs are cute don’t get me wrong, but the independence and odd personalities of cats will always be superior.

What is the one thing you would tell your younger self?

Nothing is as important as it may seem at the time. Just follow your gut and don’t be afraid to take risks- you’ll regret not doing things more than giving them a go. You’ve got this.
