Spring is the time of year to combine pink and peach tones for a look that’s sweet but subtle. And since the finish is natural and light-weight, it’s surprisingly easy to get right!

With warm(ish) weather just around the corner, it’s a good idea to swap your foundation for a BB cream. The Nars Velvet Matte Skin Tint (£30 at Feel Unique) is thick enough to spread on easily but has a light and dewy finish. It’s topped off with SPF 30 for sunnier days.

Next, we’re heading straight for the blush. The Coral Spectrum Blush Palette by ZOEVA (£15 at Selfridges) has a range of colours to suit every skin tone. You don’t want too much colour but it should spread over a larger area since we’re skipping out on highlighting and contouring. Use a kabuki brush to apply from your cheekbones down to your upper lip.

Blended eyeshadows are great for adding softness. Apply a deep peach or pink to your lid and a lighter gold to your crease before blending. Kiko’s Smart Eyes and Face Palette in Trendy Temptations (£14.90 at Kiko) has both these colours and loads more! Follow with your regular mascara. If you really want to make things pop, you can even add white eyeliner to your top lid and waterline.

A pink lip-gloss is a must-have part of this look. If you’re afraid of things getting a little too girly, the Maybelline Baby Lips Lip-gloss in Life’s a Peach (£4.99 at Boots) offers a mellow shade that’s sweet without being over the top. As it’s a moisturizing lip gloss, you don’t need to apply that extra layer of lip balm either.

We’re finishing off the look with a face mist that not only sets your make-up, but keeps your skin refreshed and hydrated. The Vitamin E Hydrating Face Mist (£10 at The Body Shop) smells of rosewater and can be used anytime during the day as a little pick-me-up.
