Looking for a place to go to get a delicious burger in Nottingham? Look no further – I have just the place for you. Whilst on the lookout for a new place to try for your guys, after all the raving reviews I’ve heard about this place I decided to try it out for myself; although when I heard that they offer 30 different types of burgers, I was more than sold!

Located within the heart of Nottingham in The Lace Market, Annie’s is the type of place you go to if you want a proper traditional American meal with a broad selection of different styles to choose from. As I have a lot of friends who are vegetarian/vegan, don’t think I’ve forgotten to mention to you guys that Annie’s offers both options for the entirety of their menu!

Not only does Annie’s offer a main menu but they are also open for breakfast, making this place all that more exciting to go visit. As many of you students can relate, mornings aren’t exactly my forte so I am yet to try their breakfast but they do offer a Breakfast Takeout Hotline that runs daily from 7.30am-10am, so be sure to try that out because I know I definitely will; most likely for a hangover cure. However, if your able to make it in, breakfast is available every day between 8am-10.30am, and the Burger Shack is then open from 12pm – 11pm.

Annie’s main menu quotes “All Available 100% Vegan, Veggie or Meaty” and I really like the fact that they cater for everyone because it makes life just that little bit easier. In a nutshell, the main menu lists all the burger fillings, and all burgers are served on a toasted classic sesame bun with crisp iceberg lettuce, a vine tomato slice and mayonnaise. Also, all burgers come with a choice of fries, and these include curly fries, homemade Cajun or salted wedges. They also give you the amazing option of substituting your fries for sweet potato or onion rings at a small additional cost.

On my visit, I ordered ‘The Greek’: a burger topped with Annie’s own Greek Tzatziki and a delicious homemade crispy spinach mushroom and greek feta patty, covered with big chunks of crumbled real greek feta, black olives, a drizzle of olive oil and a pinch of Greek salad. For my choice of fries, I decided to go with my all-time favourite curly fries. I decided to experiment with my order and requested it to be made vegan, and from a perspective of a meat lover, I thoroughly enjoyed it.

My friend ordered the ‘The BB King’ made vegan also: chicken breast smothered in Annie’s own hickory-smoked sticky BBQ sauce, garnished with fresh coriander. Her choice of fries were the Cajun chips. However if you’re not really feeling a burger, Annie’s also offers a selection of hot dogs.

Now let’s talk drinks! I got a cookies and cream milkshake which didn’t have that thick milk consistency that a lot of milkshakes usually have, so I would definitely recommend getting one if you go. My friend tried the peanut butter milkshake made vegan, and I honestly couldn’t really taste the difference in comparison with mine, so I was quite impressed.
