To celebrate the recent release of Disney’s live action adaptation of ‘Beauty and the Beast’, we have created some fabulous outfits inspired by the film. Here are four outfit ideas, each perfect for different occasions.
Blue Belle
This first look is inspired by Belle’s day-to-day dress which features in ‘Bonjour Belle’. It would be perfect for any interviews you may have coming up (whether for a summer job or a role on a society committee) and would make a nice date night outfit (and the loose fit means you won’t have food baby fears!).
Twist two front sections of your hair back and gather the rest of your hair into a low ponytail (with the help of some hair grips) – et voilà!

Vintage Gaston
This next look takes inspiration from Gaston, minus the facial hair! The button detailing on the vest top matches the military-style buttons on his coat, and the shoes, whilst suitably vintage, are ever so comfortable – I have this exact pair myself! If you’re a bit tentative about the weather, shove on a pair of black tights and a black cardigan to make the outfit warmer.
If you want to take the Gaston inspiration further, add a bit of teasing to the front section of your hair to give added volume to an everyday ponytail.

Pretty Prince
As for the Prince, there are a few ways of taking inspiration from him. I wanted to draw upon the blue colour and floral detailing of the Beast’s/Prince’s clothes and so picked out this fun playsuit and stained glass-style earrings. The sandals and bright blue bag make this look perfect for a summer barbeque.
Give your hair a little curl or tie a white ribbon around the bottom of a French plait to bring the look together.

Dressed Down Ball Gown
Now, I know you’re expecting a cheap dupe for ‘the dress’, but I’m afraid there is no dress that could do the film justice. Instead, though, I’ve incorporated Belle’s sunshine yellow into your everyday look so you can always feel like a princess. The fluttery sleeves of this top make it elegant but also very comfortable – I have a very similar top and love it! Wear it with some jeans (high-waisted if you’re tummy conscious) and throw on these heels if you need to dress it up.
Hair-wise, Belle’s half up half down bun would obviously work best, but any hairdo would look great.
