5 Beauty Products You Need This Season

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Nottingham chapter.

As the cold creeps in, we’re all swapping our crop tops for cardigans. But it’s not just your wardrobe that may need a seasonal revamp. The change in season can take a pretty bad toll on your body, from drying your skin out to making your hair stand on end. But not to worry! We’ve found five awesome products that’ll keep you gorgeous and glowing whatever the weather.

1. E45 Derma Protect Spray (£5.99 at Superdrug)

Cold air is super dry and harsh so can leave your skin flaking pretty quickly. E45 is a specialist brand for dry and sensitive skin that locks moisture in for twenty-four hours. Since it’s in a spray form, you don’t have to faff around for ages trying to rub it in either.

2. The Body Shop Vitamin E Sink In Moisture Sleeping Mask (£11.00 at The Body Shop)

Let’s be honest… masks are time-consuming and barely anyone does them regularly. But as dry-skinned gals know, extra hydration is a must this time of year. The wheatgerm oil and Vitamin E in this mask provides just that. And since it’s a sleeping mask, you can crash straight after applying it instead of waiting around for 15 minutes.

3. John Frieda Frizz Ease Forever Smooth Anti-Frizz Primer (£9.99 at Superdrug)

Ever had one of those days where you arrive at campus looking fab and leave with a head full of frizz and fly-aways? Yeah, strong winds can do that. This priming serum creates a base of long-lasting smoothness so that you can style your hair however you want and expect it to stay that way. It only works on damp hair though, so a teeny bit of coconut oil might help on non-wash days.

4. Sally Hansen Nail Rehab (£9.95 at Boots)

It might not be the most obvious issue, but your nails can get pretty frail during winter, especially with going back and forth between cold outdoor temperatures and warm indoor temperatures. The Sally

Hansen formula contains extracts of jasmine, rose and Vitamin E to strengthen your nails and leave them looking conditioned.

5. Burt’s Bees Tinted Lip Balm (£3.99 at Superdrug)

Using a tinted lip balm is an effortless way of adding a hint of colour to your look while also keeping the dreaded chapped lips at bay. With the Burt’s Bees range, you can pick from 6 different shades that will keep your lips nice and moisturised for 8 hours.
