What a Notre Dame “Polar Vortex” Snow Day Looks Like

When you get a notice from Internal Communications that school is shutdown:

 

How snow days should be, but aren’t at Notre Dame because it’s 2 degrees out and frostbite is an actual possibility:

 

When you’re friends at school in warm locales say they feel bad for you and your eternal winter:

 

Trying to decide with your first (or second) ever snow day in college:

 

Cabin Fever is set in and you want to escape the indoors, but the snow is piled up to your knees and the door is frozen shut:

 

Emerging from your dorm:

 

Being outside:

 

When your friends ask you to make a Huddle run because it’s the only thing open, and you have the most flex points:

 

After being stuck inside with your dormmates for too many hours:

 

Making plans for all your free time:

 

Your demeanor after a polar vortex darty:

 

Your response when your friend suggests (after said polar vortex darty) walking 20 minutes in the cold to see his/her significant other because the roads are shutdown and you can’t drive:

 

Day 2 of cancelled classes and polar vortex dartying:

Walking anywhere on campus:
