There’s nothing like those first few warm days of February and March. The sun is shining, it’s 60 degrees and it finally feels like winter is behind us. One of the best ways to fuel my excitement for warmer days and spring and summer quickly approaching is blasting happy, feel-good music. Here are a few of my favorite songs to sing and dance around to when spring is finally around the corner:

There’s Still A Light In The House // Valley

Valley, in my opinion, is one of the most underrated bands in the music industry right now. If you could bottle up sunshine and put it in a song, it would be There’s Still A Light In The House. Perfect for hanging out outside with friends.

Turn // The Wombats

Turn has been one of my favorite songs for as long as I can remember. It’s catchy and upbeat, and something about it fills me adrenaline. It makes me want to scream-sing in a car while driving down the coast.

River Water // Moon Taxi

River Water is one of my favorites because of its funky sound, and is a great pick for laying out on the quad.

Rhythm & Blues // The Head and the Heart

A lot of The Head and the Heart’s music gives me springtime vibes, but Rhythm & Blues especially. It’s hopeful, vibrant and warm.

Something Good Can Work // Two Door Cinema Club

Something Good Can Work is a fun and fast little tune, and is the perfect song for driving around with the windows down.

Way It Goes // Hippocampus

This song feels groovy and light, much like many of Hippocampus’s songs. One of the first songs I hit play on when I’m walking to class without my winter coat for the first time.

T-Shirt Weather // Circa Waves

T-Shirt Weather is about just that: t-shirt weather, aka the best kind of weather, and perfectly captures the feeling of 60 degrees in March.

Goodmorning // Bleachers

Rounding off the list is one of my favorite songs by one of my favorite bands. Bleachers’s Goodmorning is what I turn on to get me going in the morning. It’ll make you want to throw open your windows and dance around your room.
