This winter has definitely been one to remember. The massive amounts of snow combined with the frigid temperatures got old really fast. Spring cannot come any sooner and I am counting down the days until I get to see the grass again. Hopefully it will warm up soon and the snow will begin to melt. I know we have a long way to go but I can be optimistic right?

Before the warmer weather gets here, I want to wear a few of my favorite sweaters one last time. Every year as the seasons change, the sweaters go back into a tote at the top of my closet at home. That moment is bittersweet because I love my winter sweaters, but at the same time I am always excited to move on to the next season’s wardrobe.

With the large amounts of snow the Bend has received this year, we are bound to face some flooding when it all starts to melt. Cue the rain boots! Campus is predominately flat, which means there will be tons of puddles. Don’t make the mistake of wearing the

wrong footwear. There’s no reason to avoid waterproof shoes because there are so many cute styles out on the market. I personally love these navy and gold boots from Joules. They would be perfect for rainy football games too!

Whenever I think of spring, I think of pastel colors. Maybe this is because everything is so fresh and clean, or maybe because it’s related to Easter. My nails are currently a nice pastel pink. I’m hoping that the more I wish for spring, the quicker it will be here. If you want a quick reminder that spring is on the way, paint your nails a pastel color. It will help cheer you up on these last dreadful days of winter.

As the weather gets warmer, it’s time to ditch the parka. No matter how warm and cozy it is, it has to go. It’s almost time to clean all of the mint wrappers from the dining halls out of the many pockets. While it’s not quite warm enough to go without a light jacket, if you keep wearing the parka, you’ll be sweltering. I love this super cute yellow jacket. Hey, you could even pair it with the rain boots from above. We’ve got school spirit, yes we do!

Be strong and hang in there, the end of winter is near! We have to round the corner at some point, and I have a good feeling (according to the weather channel) that we are going to face some warmer temperatures soon. Now, I know it’s not ideal weather for a beach day, but anything is better than the temperatures we’ve had to deal with this winter.

Hey everyone! I love to write and cry over episodes of One Tree Hill (don't judge). My favorite things to write about are fashion and music. I am definitely an animal and plant lover. I'm a South Bend native so in a way, Notre Dame has always been a part of my home.
