Picture this: we are at the mall shopping together, and my hands are filled with Kelly green sweaters, shirts and accessories. You look at me wondering why I have so many green things, and that is when I realize for the first time that I just can’t get enough of Kelly green…and here’s why:

Whenever I see this beautifully rich shade of green, I feel happier. I have come to love wearing this color because I feel confident and joyful when I do. Even better, the color reads as a mature shade while also being joyful. This makes it the perfect color to wear to class, work and all of life’s adventures!

Much like lavender, Kelly green looks absolutely gorgeous on every skin tone and with every hair color. Regardless of peachy to cool undertones or blonde to red hair, Kelly green will suit you!

Some colors are meant to be worn in certain seasons, but Kelly green is one of those colors that escapes the changing of seasons. Just think about how cute a Kelly-green sweater with black denim would look in winter, a green top with white denim in the spring, a green dress in the summer, or a green top with medium wash jeans would look in the fall!

As a student at the University of Notre Dame, there is no way I could leave out the fact that the school has taken on Kelly green as an honorary school color. This means that it is always right to wear Kelly green – both as a great fashion choice and a way of supporting the University and its legacy.
Kelly green caught my eye a few months ago, and I have not been able to keep it off my mind since. I am obsessed with Kelly green, but not without good reason. I hope you will look at the Kelly-green pieces you see in a new light the next time you are shopping! Keep loving yourself and others always!
