Cute and Cozy Sweaters to Wear This Winter

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Notre Dame chapter.

Fashion-wise, winter is the worst time of the year. Bundling up is necessary in order to survive South Bend in January, and it’s so easy to fall into a rut of wearing the same things over and over again because they’re warm. Sweaters are an easy way to layer and retain as much heat as possible while still looking remotely put together, and these are some of my favorites.

Nasty Gal // $68

This bright color is sure to stand out in a crowd, and the fuzziness makes it perfect for staying snuggly even during classes. A simple cut like this makes layering long necklaces a perfect way to add some personality!

Boho // $30

Layering is the cornerstone of fall and winter fashion! Cardigans like this cute tribal one are a great way to get more use out of summery tees and tanks. Black and white pairs with almost anything, so this is a great piece to mix and match with.

Free People // $128

Winter white and turtlenecks are both in style this winter, and this Free People sweater is the perfect way to incorporate these trends into your wardrobe. Plus, the high collar is a perfect substitute for a scarf.

Wildfox // $110

The baggy fit and sweatshirt-like material of this sweater make it the most comfortable thing you’ll own, and the cheery greeting might perk you up for your 8:20 class (along with coffee, of course).

Forever 21 // $19.90

The beautiful, subdued blues turn floral print into the perfect wintry pattern against this sweater’s winter white backdrop. It is perfect if you want to look a little more refined without sacrificing coziness.
